Women in Warung Scene: Enabling Access to Digital Inclusion and A Better Household Economy for Women
In line with the purpose of promoting social impact, Warung Pintar is constantly on the lookout for solutions that exemplify the commitment to address issues within Indonesia’s General Trade. Such is done by fostering innovation through technology advancement, particularly for the grassroots community, with all the complexity of problems they have faced.

While inadequate income remains the fundamental worry, warung owners still encounter numerous other substantial hurdles on a daily basis, including those pertaining to gender. Following our extensive studies on the disproportionate amount of roles primarily held by women in the community, we seek to gain a better understanding of the ways in which they manage their warung business, on top of measuring the impact of Warung Pintar’s initiatives in accommodating the needs of Indonesia’s grassroots businesses.
